Having trouble catching fish in the IL river?

eric knowing what fish you are targeting would help lots. I mean to say rods and reels have specifics that are built into them for certain needs you have. of course someone will always say get and ugly stick and they are great rods but what action will you need is based upon what fish you target. see the box in the green stripe above just to the right of "Search for questions" put into the box all the questions you want about how to catch smallmouth b, or sauger, or catfish on the IL river. Read all the answers that come back and write down notes you will need to remember. Maybe there is a book in the library about fishing the IL river? Have you looked there?
