Torrents: Seeding and Leeching, how is speed affected?

Ok, so I've been wondering which would download faster, a torrent with 240 seeders and 550 leechers(~1:2 ratio) or a torrent with only 18 seeders but also only 3 leechers(6:1 ratio)? Does this really have any effect, or would just having 240 seeders make it faster then 18, no matter the amount of seeders?
