I want to watch BBC/UK tv and US TV online in Australia?

Is it possible? How can I do it? All the less dubious looking free tv sites seem to be geography specific - either for the US (mainly) or the UK only. What is a reliable online tv site to watch UK and US shows in Australia that allows me to stream and not download stuff?
