Why Big Time Rush succeed while other 90's style new boybands failed?

We know BTR's album peak at #3 on Billboard 200 albums chart, but before them other new boybands (NLT, V Factory, etc.) tried into the music scene but failed to release their debut album or sometimes poor album sales. So what went wrong before Big Time Rush came and revive the '90s style boyband craze once again.
