Electrically engineering/ Fraternity?

ok im at at a community college right now taking pre-engineering courses and will be transfering to a university either next or the following semester and majoring in Electrical Engineering. I really want to major in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, but my major is very strenuous (Engineering is one of the most difficult major declarations) and I don't have the time to have my grades drop while im pre-pledging or on-line. I know that school comes first, so should i go ahead and get it done ASAP or wait until i get into grad school?
