Natural Balance food good for my dog?

I currently am feeding my miniature american Eskimo (1 yr) natural balance brown rice and lamb. I was told by her trainer that Royal Canin and Pet Promise was the best on the market... they are a bit more expensive but is it worth it? Or should I just switch her over to a better quality natural balance product?
