Should i go for the friends with benefits?

ive had bad relationships and most recent ended with my x breaking my clavicle.i was pressing charges and reuinted with an old crush from my teen yrs via myspace.he was there for me a couple nights to cuddle me when i was coping.the past 8months we kept in contact via txt here and there.i recently told him i liked him and he said he liked me but he's not good with relationships.commitments freak me out,so we have a mutual agreement to be friends with benefits.should i do this ? commitments seriously freak me out but yet i do like this guy so what if i end up wanting a commitment?
